Saripolou Street Project

By asking pedestrians in the Old Town of Limassol, Cyprus to donate a word, a street poem was generated. These words which were written in 4 languages, Greek, English, Russian and Arabic reflecting the area cultural diversity were painted in bright colours and attached to an otherwise unattractive walkway surrounding the building site.

This piece created both attractive decoration and more importantly the feeling of ownership of the street to it's inhabitants.

The completion of this work coincided with the Street Life Festival organised by Syn-Ergio and bought to Limassol by Giftd and Gadgets on the 5 May 2007.
